The requirements for the system were to give the Academy security, flexibility, ease of use and future-proofing. Yannedis responded by supplying a system where students are able to use their cards to access study areas and classrooms through the individual door stand-alone units whilst important access points in the building use wall readers that regularly download and upload information to the card that is presented and to the central computer system. The virtual net system unique to this product gives long-term flexibility as it is easily extended to cover additional areas without wiring needs. The system can be rolled out in the future to include locker access, car park barriers and cashless vending machines. |
