Sandwell Academy
This state-of-the-art academy building has produced approximately 10,000 sq m of floor space for educational purposes, specialising in business and sport. The striking horseshoe-shaped two-storey academy surrounds a laned running track, enhancing the aspect of the academy.
The ironmongery specification had to meet the architect's ethos that in a school environment the least number of moving parts on the door, the better the door will function, allowing greater sustainability and minimum maintenance.

Full ironmongery package included hardly any lever handle sets. Architectural door closers combined with a push/pull function were mainly supplied. |

The pull handle specification included support-bearing roses on both sides of the door and covered with large decorative and textured protection plates. |

Yannedis supplied a grandmaster key system to include all aspects of the building and future developments. The system allows for keying control to the sports facilities which are located off-site and are accessed via a bridge. |
